FASER-ToT™ supports a code-informed fire alarm pre-design takeoff from project setup and room classification through automatic preliminary device spotting, estimator-controlled editing, live recounting, and a final bill of materials (BOM). It can also use a provided preliminary fire alarm design or a provided complete fire alarm system design to prepare a fire alarm device and wire BOM for estimator review. The separate air-sampling smoke detection (ASD) BOM Only module currently supports device and sampling-point review; pipe-network quantities and its complete ASD BOM are not yet available.

  • Preliminary Fire Alarm System DesignScans contract drawing portable document files (PDFs) or computer aided design (CAD) files to support the preliminary design of a fire alarm system, including automatic device spotting and aspirating smoke detection with estimator input.
  • Complete Estimator ControlThe estimator retains control of the automatically generated preliminary design, may revise it through the interface, and remains responsible for compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Fire Alarm System TakeoffProduces a fire alarm system takeoff and bill-of-material package with device, equipment, wire, and applicable aspirating smoke detection quantities, plus data exports and a PDF plot.
  • Takeoff Only CapabilityCan use a pre-designed fire alarm system, including aspirating smoke detection, to compile a detailed bill of material.
